Parasols

Parasols are a delightful way to add that extra accent to your wedding. With their romantic old-fashioned feeling, paper parasols are quite charming. On a hot summer day, parasols can be a nice thing for your bridesmaids to carry in lieu of flowers. Even if you do not want to have anyone actually carry a parasol down the aisle, they can make a nice prop for photos later on. If done with a creative flair, the parasols can make the photographs more interesting. For an old-fashioned Southern belle effect, choose paper parasols in soft tones, such as white or ivory. These would be absolutely charming for an afternoon wedding, and will combine nicely with flowers such as pink peonies or garden roses. If your style is more modern elegance than "Gone With the Wind", then choose parasols in a bold colour like bright red, fushia, or turquoise. The parasols can be hung from the ceiling of an indoor venue, or even from trees at an outdoor site.
